Scot Marching Band Presents Annual Fall Concert

WOOSTER, Ohio — The Scot Marching Band, under the direction of Dan Fleischaker, will present its annual fall concert on Sunday, Nov. 4, at The College of Wooster. The performance, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 1:30 p.m. in McGaw Chapel (340 E. University St.).
The program features an assemblage of works from pregame and halftime shows from the 2018 football season, including traditional favorites “Blue Bells of Scotland,” “Are You From Wooster?” “Score Wooster,” and “Black and Gold.”
Also on the program are Latin selections “El Cumbanchero,” “Evil Ways,” and “Spain,” as well as pop music hits by Lady Gaga, Styx, Aretha Franklin, and the ever-popular stands tunes, “Land of 1000 Dances” and “Hey! Baby!”
The pipe band, under the leadership of Ana Fairbanks-Mahnke, and the Highland Dancers, led by Mary Stehulak, will also perform. Drum majors this year are senior Daniel Myers and junior Neva Derewetzky.
Joining Fleischaker on Sunday will be assistant directors Nancy Ditmer and Ned Brooks, and percussion instructor Tom Roblee.
