College Mourns the Passing of James E. Perley
WOOSTER, Ohio – James E. Perley, a retired professor of biology who taught at The College of Wooster for 31 years, passed away on March 30 in Portland, Me. He was 77.
Perley came to Wooster in 1968 and rose through the ranks from assistant professor of biology to associate professor and finally full professor. He left Wooster in 2001 to become dean of arts and sciences at Milliken University in Illinois, retiring from that position in 2003.
