Wooster welcomes former Nike executive Stefan Olander as James R. Wilson Lecture Series speaker

Stefan Olander, former Vice President of Global Digital Innovation, will visit The College of Wooster on Thursday, April 28 as part of the James R. Wilson Lecture Series. The lecture, which is free and open to the public, will take place in the Governance Room in the lower level of the Scot Center.

Olander, ranked No. 7 in Fast Company’s 100 Most Creative People in Business, will offer a lecture called, “How human-centric brands win in a tech-dominated world.” Olander also served as the Vice President of Advertising in his 21 years at Nike. His presentation will explore how to connect digital technology to human-centric values for both companies and consumers through creativity, imagination, mission, passion, and courage.

The insightful Swede led multiple, successful cutting-edge global initiatives, including the revolutionary Nike+ experience developed in partnership with Apple, which took the concept of wearable technology mainstream. His highly visual presentation inspires audiences with tangible leadership examples and features the imagination, purpose, and creative courage he made indispensable in the success of Nike’s digital platforms. Olander is the co-author of Velocity: The Seven New Laws for a World Gone Digital, a best-selling innovation playbook.

The James R. Wilson Lecture Series brings distinguished business and financial leaders to The College of Wooster to share their insights and to interact with the campus community.
