Overview
Students at The College of Wooster go into Business after graduation or go on to get graduate degrees in Business or related fields. Pre-Business advising allows students to work closely with faculty and staff to design their coursework throughout their time at Wooster and to get experiences or internships in business. The College of Wooster provides excellent experiential learning opportunities within the field of business through the Jenny Investment Club, Applied Methods & Research Experience, and Social Entrepreneurship.
The College of Wooster has a partnership with the Simon Business School at the University of Rochester to provide scholarships to Wooster students who go on to get their MS programs. They offer Master’s degrees in AI in Business, Finance, Accountancy, Business Analytics, and Marketing Analytics.
Pre-Business students also benefit from a partnership with Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management. As part of the Ohio 5 Business Collaborative, Wooster students benefit from GMAT-optional early admission as well as guaranteed scholarships for qualified students. Case Western offers Master’s degrees in Finance, Supply Chain Management, Accountancy, and Business Analytics and Intelligence.
College of Wooster courses that are recommended for pre-Business students include Principles of Economics, Financial Accounting, Intro to Statistics or Quantitative Methods, Corporate Finance, Applied Differential Calculus, Linear Algebra, Portfolio Theory, and Strategic Management.
