Overview
Many Wooster graduates have sought graduate degrees in business related fields without majoring in economics or business economics. How has Wooster prepared them? Pre-Business advising allows students to work closely with faculty and staff to design their coursework and obtain practical real world experiences in business internships. The College of Wooster provides excellent business-related experiential learning opportunities through the Jenny Investment Club, Applied Methods & Research Experience, and Social Entrepreneurship programs.
Since student interest, goals, and post-graduation paths vary, we recommend that you meet with the Chair of Economics or Dr Mellizo as soon as possible to discuss your plans.
In addition to the advising program, The College of Wooster has a long-time partnership with the Simon Business School at the University of Rochester. This partnership provides scholarships to Wooster students who elect one of their MS programs. They offer Master’s degrees in AI in Business, Finance, Accountancy, Business Analytics, and Marketing Analytics.
Students also benefit from a partnership with Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management. As part of the Ohio 5 Business Collaborative, Wooster students benefit from GMAT-optional early admission as well as guaranteed scholarships for qualified students. Case Western offers Master’s degrees in Finance, Supply Chain Management, Accountancy, and Business Analytics and Intelligence.
