Dedicated in fall 1929 in memory of Elisha P. Douglass (Class of 1877), Douglass Hall in its renovated form continues his vision of a community space where students live and learn together. Located on the north end of campus, Douglass Hall is centrally located to most residential and academic buildings and is the home of up to 129 students. Douglass Hall serves as a dual-designation residence hall with first year students living on the first and second floors, and upper class students on the third and fourth floors.
