Effective Altruism is about one simple question: how can we use our resources to help others the most? We use evidence and careful analysis to find the very best causes to work on. However, it’s no use answering the question unless you act on it. Effective Altruism is about following through. It’s about being generous with your time and money to do the most good you can.
Effective Altruism Wooster is a chapter of the broader Effective Altruism movement. Our main goal at Wooster is to equip students with the knowledge to do good in the world more effectively by critically thinking about career ambitions and future donations. Also, we believe in the power of community, so we focus a lot of energy and time towards creating a supportive group of friends.
As a club, we have weekly socials, a semesterly fellowship, a library of EA-related books, and career advising sessions.
Are you interested in talking with us? Well, we’d love to have you. Sincerely, EA Wooster encourages you to contact us at our emails (linked to our names below), or going to our website or social media accounts below. Thank you so much for reading this, and we urge you to contact us and check out our other pages!
