Mission Statement:

The Sociology/Anthropology Club aims to generate wider interest in the two disciplines. Our club offers opportunities for members to participate in community service projects, lectures, and discussions on relevant themes in the fields of sociology and anthropology, learn more about the career opportunities available to sociology/anthropology enthusiasts, and take part in events/festivals celebrating the disciplines and cultures. We aim to bring different perspectives about current global events by employing the two disciplines.

Club Activities:

Sociology/Anthropology Club (or Soc/Anthro Club) hosts general meetings Thursday evenings from 8:15 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. in person. Each week we will discuss a wide range of sociological/anthropological topics that are relevant to attendees’ interests. We hope to create a laid-back and fun environment for members of the College community to learn about sociology and anthropology and how they apply towards understanding human society and cultures. This fall, Sociology/Anthropology Club plans to travel off campus to Cleveland, OH, to visit the Cleveland Museum of Art and the Cleveland Museum of Natural History for a day trip. Our club also frequently engages in volunteer opportunities in the Wooster community.
