Cleveland Student Music Therapists - Wooster Chapter

The purpose of Cleveland Student Music Therapists (CSMT) is to foster intellectual discussion about Music Therapy, advocate for the Music Therapy profession, attend and network with professionals at conferences, and to perform community and campus outreach through group therapeutic music experiences

CSMT’s SMART goals are:

1. Members will attend one conference and/or Continuing Music Therapy Education (CMTE) event per academic year: either a regional or national conference. Participation may occur in person or virtually.

2. Our organization will volunteer at a local facility (e.g. Brookdale, Wooster Community Hospital) once per semester, health standards allowing.

3. Our organization will increase our visibility on campus by hosting a minimum of 2 open and advertised events during the academic year.

4. Our organization will attend one diversity event on campus or attend a safe zone training once a year, health standards allowing.

The Cleveland Student Music Therapists- Wooster Chapter will be holding events on campus such as students making music with our members, live performances by our members, and informational sessions about Music Therapy. Off campus, members who are Music Therapy majors, work with clients by holding Music Therapy sessions. Furthermore, as an entire organization, we go to local assisted livings to perform.
