Queer People of Color MembersSince being founded in 2014, Queer Trans People of Color has served as a student advocacy and support group for all those who exist within the margins of racial or ethnic identities, sexuality, gender identity and romantic identity. We strive to foster a safe and respectful community, while raising awareness about queer or LGBTQIA+ issues that intersect with the needs of racial and ethnic minority communities, on and off campus. Much of this work, as a student organization seeks to alleviate the consequences of these systemic issues through campus-wide dialogue, events, and collaborations with other campus organizations or the Center of Diversity and Inclusion; while, advocating for policy changes at the College of Wooster.

Our meetings are open to anyone, regardless of identity, however we ask that allies are conscious of the importance of a QTPoC-centered space should they choose to attend a meeting. General assembly meetings should be held on a biweekly basis, on Tuesday from 6-7pm in Lowry 119.
