Members of Living Wage CampaignThe Living Wage Campaign believes that receiving a living wage for one’s work is a human right. A living wage is defined as that wage that allows a worker to easily meet their basic needs. As students here at the college, we recognize just how integral all campus staff is to keeping the College running and making our college experience as great as it can be, and we aim to encourage students to advocate for campus staff and treat them with continued respect.

The Scot’s Key points out that the graduate qualities for the campus community involve exhibiting “ethical citizenship” along with a “commitment to community”, and we hope to embody these principles through the work of advocating for some of the most often neglected or overlooked members of our campus community. To achieve this, we will be connecting students and staff through events, conducting research, creating proposals, meeting with the Board of Trustees and the President, holding an educational panel on campus, and planning other events.
