Dean's Scholarship
The Dean’s Scholarship recognizes a student’s overall academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, leadership, and personal merit. First-year students who apply for admission are automatically considered for this award and do not need to submit additional credentials. Nearly two-thirds of students offered admission receive a Dean’s Scholarship.

As a test-optional school, Wooster does not consider SAT or ACT scores in consideration of any merit-based scholarship.
Applicants for competitive scholarships must apply Early Decision or Early Action.
Early Decision applicants should complete their scholarship application by the November 1 Early Decision deadline. With the exception of the performing arts scholarships, we will send your scholarship decisions alongside your notification of admission. Performing arts scholarships require an audition process and notification date that will take place after the Early Decision deadline.
College Scholar Award
Wooster’s most competitive merit scholarship, the College Scholar Award, recognizes exceptional academic and extracurricular achievement.
College Scholar AwardCovenant Scholarship
Awards are made to incoming first-year students who are members of the Presbyterian Church (USA) who have demonstrated academic achievement and involvement in one’s community and church.
Covenant ScholarshipModel UN Leadership Award
The Model UN Leadership Award, recognizes first-year applicants who demonstrate leadership and growth through their high school Model UN experiences and intend to continue to do so at Wooster.
Model UN Leadership AwardMusic Scholarships
Awarded to incoming first-year students during their senior year of high school (transfers are not eligible) on the basis of music performance skills demonstrated by the audition or compositional skills evidenced by written scores.

Scottish Arts Scholarship
The Scottish Arts Scholarship is awarded to first-year students (transfers are not eligible) on the basis of music performance skills demonstrated at the audition.
Scottish Arts ScholarshipsTheatre and Dance Scholarship
Awarded to first-year students (transfers not eligible) on the basis of acting, directing, playwriting, design and technology, stage management, or dance.

To support our efforts to enroll a diverse, talented group of first-year students, Wooster offers a number of competition and performance-based scholarships. We also are proud partners of organizations like SAGE Scholars, which encourages students to consider their college options early.
