“What do students do for fun? How is the food…or life in the res halls? What is there to do in the city of Wooster? Can I start my own club?” If these questions sound like your own, this session is your chance to hear from current students about the campus vibe and day-to-day life at Wooster.
Shades of Black & Gold: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Wooster
Join us for a conversation with current students about their daily experiences with diversity and inclusion at Wooster. Students will specifically engage about topics of ethnicity, nationality, gender identity, sexuality, religion, and spirituality.
Engage with representatives from Admissions and Financial Aid to learn more about the value of a Wooster education, merit scholarships, and need-based financial aid opportunities for students eligible to submit the FAFSA.
One of the most-talked about pieces of a college application is the essay. This workshop will review why the essay is important, choosing a topic, and tips and tricks from admissions counselors to conquer this part of the application.
Case Study: How We Assess Applications
For this case study session, you will be an admissions officer at a selective university – and review applicants for a spot at a fictional school. Along the way, you will learn about a holistic review of a college application, how applicants stand out, and what parts of the application are most important for admission.
Class Experience – Picturing Brazil: Photography & Representations of Race, Class, & Gender
How can we use 19th century photographs to better understand Brazilian history, society, and culture? In this class, we’ll look at the science behind how early photographs were made and analyze examples to discover what these images can tell us about early photographers’ goals in representing Brazil for a global audience.
Our 30-minute information session features a current student and admissions counselor who focus on what makes Wooster distinctive among your college options. Each session will include a 10-minute presentation followed by a lively 20-minute Q&A.

This 30-minute conversation is an opportunity for you to share your interests and experiences which allows our team to best support you through your college search and application process. Interviews are recommended for admission, and are a required step to be eligible for our top merit scholarship, the College Scholar Award.
