NYTs Columnist Ron Lieber lauds The College of Wooster. "Families could use more blunt talk, not to mention the kind of human intervention and transparency that Whitman and WOOSTER offer." The Early Aid Estimator is now available to high school students planning to attend college in Fall 2025.

Unique to The College of Wooster, and a key feature in our commitment to financial transparency, the Early Aid Estimator is to best tool for you to learn your eligibility for Wooster’s scholarships. More than a Net Price Calculator, the Early Aid Estimator treats you as an individual, providing a highly accurate estimate of your merit-based scholarships and need-based financial assistance (if eligible).

You provide your academic credentials and family financial information (an optional second step), and our admissions and financial aid staff carefully determine an estimated aid package. All information is kept confidential.

NY Times columnist Ron Lieber singled out Wooster as the school that represents value best in his book, The Price You Pay for College. Why? Lieber points to our great teaching, distinct approach to mentored research, terrific career center, diverse campus community, and up-front attitude in helping prospective students understand the financial package they will receive.

We hope to not only share your personalized financial aid estimate but to help you learn more about these additional benefits of investing in a Wooster education.

Not a rising senior?

We understand that rising juniors and younger high school students are also curious about college costs, so Wooster has invested in a more customized and accurate Net Price Calculator tool that is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

We encourage you to complete the NPC with your family members and share your contact information with us after receiving your results so we may provide more information about scholarships and financial aid
