The following instructions are intended for first-year applicants with U.S. citizenship. Wooster is proud to be one of the most international schools in Ohio, and we welcome international students to apply from our international admissions page.
Students entering college in the spring of 2025 may also apply NOW!
Wooster is excited to welcome new students looking to start in the spring semester (January 2025). If you are a high school student who has finished all your requirements, a student on a gap year program, a transfer student, or athlete that is ready to join a Fighting Scots intercollegiate athletic team, we encourage you to apply for January entry.

Spring 2025 (January) start
Application Round | Deadline Date | Notification Date | Deposit Date |
---|---|---|---|
Regular Decision | December 1 | December 5 | December 15 |
Early Decision I & II: November 1 & January 15
Early Decision is considered binding, so, if you choose to apply under this option, you must also submit the Early Decision Agreement. This is an ideal option if you are certain Wooster is your top-choice. Learn about the Benefits of Applying Early Decision.
Early Action: December 5*
Early Action is a non-binding option that offers you an admission notification earlier in the process, and still allows you to consider other colleges and universities. Early Action applicants have until May 1 to make their final college decision.
*Students applying for financial aid should submit the FAFSA by January 1, 2025 (Wooster’s Code: 003037).
Regular Decision: February 15
Our Regular Decision deadline provides admission notification by April 1 for a May 1 enrollment deadline. The preferred FAFSA deadline is also February 15, but we encourage adding Wooster to your list of schools as soon as you know you plan to apply. Please note that Regular Decision applicants are not eligible for our competitive scholarships; applicants for competitive scholarships must apply Early Decision or Early Action.
The non-refundable enrollment and security deposit of $400 is payable on or before May 1 (with the exception of Early Decision candidates). Two hundred dollars of the enrollment deposit will be used to cover orientation expenses. The balance will be held until graduation or withdrawal from the College.
Any applicant who is denied admission may appeal that decision by filing a written request for review with the Interim Vice President for Enrollment Management within thirty days of the decision. A committee review of the original credentials and any additional supporting information the applicant wishes to submit will occur, and the applicant will be informed of the results of the review in a timely manner.
